MINNEAPOLIS, MN

The Lacek Group, the Loyalty Marketing Practice of OgilvyOne Worldwide, has partnered with Theatre de la Jeune Lune as the theatre focuses on taking its vision to the next level by reaching out to the Twin Cities community, raising awareness and breaking through the clutter. Lacek and Jeune Lune share a passion for creativity and innovation, making this partnership an excellent fit.

A combination of efforts, including developing new productions, updating existing ones and ramping up marketing support, are playing a major role in the esteemed theatre’s bold rejuvenation. The Lacek Group has agreed to donate its services to help the theatre take steps to rebuild its brand through a marketing campaign promoting the company’s spring 2007 productions of Don Juan Giovanni and Figaro.

Jeune Lune brought back its signature productions of Don Juan Giovanni and Figaro because of the ways both pieces explore the experiences of love, passion and power. In sync with these works’ characteristics, The Lacek Group created a marketing campaign, consisting of 10 posters and five postcards, that are sensual and hard-edged, using images and phrases designed to both intrigue and provoke.

Headlines like this one tempt audiences to want more: “This will violate the sensibilities of every respectable Minnesotan. And a few sex maniacs.” All of the pieces feature curious, compelling and sometimes downright disturbing visuals to illustrate the theatre’s cutting edge appeal.

“Every element we chose to apply – from visual assets to design approach to copy tonality – represents the way Jeune Lune productions combine raw aggressive sensuality with intellectual power and emotional complexity,” said Mark Weninger, chief creative officer at The Lacek Group. “We are delighted to have a chance to put our creative talents to work to support a renowned Twin Cities artistic institution like Jeune Lune.”

“Jeune Lune is an uncommon and excitingly unusual experience not to be missed,” said Jeune Lune founder and artistic director Domonique Serrand. “Like us, the people at Lacek are creative, adventurous and culture-craving, and we knew we’d find a true partner in them.”

Don Juan Giovanni and Figaro run through June 24, 2007. Jeune Lune is located at 105 North 1st Street in Minneapolis’s North Loop neighborhood. For more information or to purchase tickets, call 612.333.6200 or go to www.jeunelune.org.
