Lacek Team Burns Rubber and Builds Camaraderie

This year’s Vanguard team builder event took place on Thursday, February 22, at the ProKart Indoor Burnsville Track. Lacek’s 14 Vanguard team members joined together away from the office in an effort to connect as a group, get to know new employees and each other better and generally enhance camaraderie. The Vanguard team supports clients at National Car Rental and Alamo.

The group was divided into two racing teams and participated in four surprisingly demanding races. After two qualifying heats, a last chance heat and a final race, the winner took home the grand prize: a remote control toy car.

“Our team builder events are a great opportunity for us to get away from the work environment together, relieve a little stress and have some fun,” said Francesco Favazza, Senior Partner, Account Services. “Taking time for these outings always pays off because the team comes back stronger and more cohesive.”

“I think everyone had a good experience,” said Jamie Guse, Interactive Project Manager at Lacek. “These types of outings allow people to find out more about each other. We’re not just creatives, traffic managers or account people – we have a lot to offer both at work and away from the office.”

After racing, the team enjoyed beverages, a Famous Dave’s barbeque feast and an awards ceremony, where first, second and third place winners were awarded for their driving prowess, and the worst drivers were recognized for their high volume of crashes and spin-outs.
