This holiday season, The Lacek Group held a gift basket raffle to raise money for local and national food shelves. Employees formed teams and created 16 themed baskets. All baskets were raffled off to Lacek employees, with 100% of the proceeds from ticket sales going to food banks. A grand total of $10,370 was raised — half by employees through ticket sales and half by Lacek as a company match — enough for 82,960 meals.
The Lacek Group selected Feeding America, an organization committed to feeding America's hungry, as the recipient of the agency’s 2012 charitable giving. The Lacek Group will be looking to find additional ways to engage employees in hunger-related efforts in the year ahead.
